“Jake and I were part of a very small group of friends for several years before becoming emotionally involved. We attended birthdays together, concerts, new years parties, dinner outings and more. Our relationship developed in a time that I was dealing with very personal hardships. I was quite literally trying to find out who "me" is. Needless to say, he has seen me through some of my life's hardest struggles and helped me find out who I am and who I eventually want to be. Our friendship evolved into flirtation and we found a common ground with our mutual love of music. Staying up late into the night to discuss our favorite songs and the meaning behind their lyrics. Our relationship was very unlikely and was quite a surprise to most of our loved one. As to us! So we quite literally developed from friends, into best friends, and eventually into lovers! There is nothing in this world that I can not talk to him about. If there is anything about us it is that we bring reassurance that true friendship resides in the same place as love.” -Kelsey
